When RAF Air UK was set up, our aim was to have an environment where like minded folk could get together and enjoy a few hours away from the stresses of daily life flying a variety of aircraft, both vintage and modern. November 2014 saw the launch of our own dedicated DCS flight server which we made available for members and non members. Late 2020 saw the launch of multiple servers for RAF Air UK.

Whilst flying with us is FREE for you all, there are substantial running costs associated with our servers and website/forum. Our current server machine has been built by Neil Willis as one beast of a machine. It currently hosts three main flight servers(Persian Gulf, Caucasus & Syria), with a fourth as an 'odds & sods' server that will be used for less common maps. In addition to the flight servers, we also operate four SRS servers that are used as our main in flight comms.

Recently Neil has had to upgrade some components so that we are able to accomodate the ever increasing size of DCS instalations. We would like to thank those who have donated in order that these upgrades are possible. Neil is not charging us anything for having this server running 24/7 on his electricity supply so we are making substantial savings there.

RAF Air UK does not make, and does not intend to make any profit from our operations. Any money that we receive in the form of donations is used solely for the good of everyone by paying for our Dedicated Flight Servers and any associated communications required for us to fly online as a group. Obviously we do not want to charge people for using any of our services as that would go against the whole ethos of why we set up in the first place. Hopefully you have enjoyed using our server and made new friends. Whether you are currently a member, planning to join us or just a casual pilot using our server with your friends, we thank you for playing fair so that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
